Truck drivers suffer from poor health

Truck drivers are always on the edge. While they are out there traversing long winding roads, their health affected more by eating poor cheap meals and cramped unsanitary bunkers for sleeping.

There is this one truck driver who died, he had this very big chance of surviving, but he didn't. He didn't continue the good diet program given to him. For more info, check out this website www.ExcessFreight.com

Truck drivers undergo a lot of stress, and we must support them on selecting the right choices. They must have good food and a nice place to rest. After all, they are the ones who brought us food and other things we take for granted.

Truck Driving Rules and Regulations

There is a new website that teaches professional truck driver Hours of Service (HOS) Rules and Regulations - iHeavyHaul.com.

The FMCSA that run under the direction or the US DOT issues new HOS updates every year which are not always easy to understand so iHeavyHaul lays our these rules in an easy to understand format for drivers. They offer all of the FMCSA information on their website for free and even send out tweets via twitter.com every 8 hours so drivers can learn the new HOS updates within a week or whenever they feel they are ready they can discontinue the tweets. It's a very smart concept and we can't figure out why someone hasn't done this a long time ago as this has always been a problem.

They also offer driver logbook training as well which shows truck drivers how to properly fill out there logbooks so they are in comliance with USDOT and FMSCA Rules and regulations. Way to go and we hope the seem more sites like this one that help truck drivers in the future.

Old is Gold: Especially for Trucks

One of my friends noticed that some of the old trucks are still used in the Kingdom. They are ever reliable 'gentle beasts' bringing valuable products to their destinations.

The three pointed star

I truly apologize for not updating my post. I am quite busy with my job and don't have the time to take photos of trucks in the Kingdom. I shall give you more updates soon.

Mercedes Benz is truly the standard official truck for Saudi Arabia. Seeing that three pointed star travel through long stretch of highways has made the Kingdom more prosperous as it brings those precious goods to its destination. Here it is below, I snapped a white Mercedes Benz Actros. Enjoy :)

Planning to become a truck driver? Go ahead and do it!

Truck driving jobs  has been regarded as one of the key occupations stated by Yahoo News last 2011. Up to now truck driving is one of the most profitable and in-demand on every job market worldwide. Now you are asking, how do I become a truck driver? Hope my suggestions below will help you below:

* You must know and appreciate what trucks can do, even your fellow truck drivers hours - they will be the ones who will teach you the basics and actual experiences in truck driving.

* Support from your family is also essential. They will give you the motivation to go on and work hard on your job.

* Complete all the necessary licenses and permits before you drive your truck. It will be a hassle if you will be caught driving a truck but your licenses, insurance, and other documents are incomplete/invalid. Your driving career might be affected because of this.

* Study your truck. No need to study it further as mechanics are the ones who will take care of the truck for you. Just make sure that all the safety procedures and requirements are performed.

* Be sure you are in good health. Driving a truck is very different from driving a car. Your load is much more heavier and bigger, that means your senses must be 10x to 50x more sensitive. And that is very stressful. That is why good health is mandatory.

* Do not accept hitchhikers. Accepting hitchhikers is a big NO NO on trucking companies. There are even lots of incidents where truck drivers are robbed and killed by hitchhikers. So do not do this for your safety and security.
